03 / 04 Fabrication

Overview

Our Simcoe fabrication shop builds and repairs heavy equipment for steel mills and process plants, and supports our own field crews. We work from your drawings, a sample or the worn part, in mild steel, stainless and aluminum, with welding certified to CSA W47.1 and W47.2. Piping is built to TSSA standards and registered with TSSA when required.

What we deliver.

    Equipment Built to Your Drawings

    Mill components, kettle and furnace assemblies, hoods and frames, fabricated, assembled, trial-fit and split for shipping.

  2. 02

    Strip, Assess & Rebuild

    Worn assemblies come in, get inspected and go back out rebuilt against a written scope. Spray headers return flow tested.

  3. 03

    Chutes, Hoppers & Wear Liners

    Chutes, transitions, bins and cones, lined with AR plate where material wears through.

  4. 04

    Duct, Breeching & Stacks

    Exhaust sections, breeching, expansion joints, and kiln and furnace doors in carbon steel or 316 stainless.

  5. 05

    Process Piping Spools

    Carbon and stainless spools welded to ASME B31.1 and B31.3, hydrotested and built to TSSA standards. We register piping with TSSA and are qualified to self-inspect eligible work.

  6. 06

    Platforms, Stairs & Guarding

    Access platforms, stair towers, handrail, machine guards and covers, with engineer-stamped drawings and galvanizing arranged when required.

  7. 07

    Plate Rolling & Forming

    Plate rolled to diameter for tank patches, bands and shells, plus formed sheet and plate.

  8. 08

    Lifting Gear, Carts & Racks

    Lifting beams, lugs, carts and racks, built one-off or as production runs.
